Film commentary: Sleeping Isabella
A crazy parody, a hilarious adaptation of the famous folk tale "Sleeping Beauty", with a humour that can only delight young and old. The surprising and very funny ending exalts the immense mockery of the production. Teachers can draw parallels with the famous adaptations of the story, such as that of Charles Perrault, and also have fun listing the parodies and misappropriations of the attributes of the world of the traditional tale (drawbridge door, hoover broom, etc.).A big thank you to the NFB, which allows us to see so many marvellous films for free. What a joy it is to have free streaming access to masterpieces like this humorous film!
