A film about the different ways of loving and being loved. Maybe we love? Maybe not?
But also about musical creation; the characters with different feelings and expressions who move on a musical staff represent musical notes, musical phrases.
The end suggests that the different playlets in the film represent phases of the composer's imagination or mood.

A staff is a set of five horizontal lines and four spaces between them to represent the pitch of notes.

We understand that each scene in the film represents, in fact, musical phrases, parts of a melodic line or musical idea.
The psychological states of the characters represent the psychological states of the composer in the process of composing.
