Commentary on the film

In Synchromy, Norman McLaren takes his exploration of visual sound further: the same colored patterns are used both to create the image and to generate the optical soundtrack, producing a perfect synchronization between what we see and what we hear. An ideal film for awakening children to rhythm and color.
