Educational activities

Imagine and draw the organic development of everyday objects.

After watching the short film, ask the students which animal the bench and its movements make them think of. A horse at a Rodeo?

Each student will then choose an object and imagine that it comes to life like the bench in the film.

What if my object was alive? Would he be angry? Would he like to jump around? Or on the contrary would he prefer to lie down and rest? Would it grow like a plant?

Once the object has been chosen, draw different moments of its movement or different stages of its development.

Students will also be able to choose objects that will be simple to draw and animate, such as: A chair that could walk. A fork. A drink. a house with an opening roof. A pair of glasses. A road sign. Scissors. A pencil. A table. A broom like the one in the feature film “Fantasy”) (Disney studios, 1940). A bed like the one in the comic strip “Little Nemo in Slumberland” (Winsor McCay, 1915).

At the end of the activity, students will compare the drawings and guess the initial choices (an angry pencil for example) of the other students.
