Educational activities

Begin individual work which will end in collective work.

Each child will be able to draw their own building and find their place among the other students by building a city in the center of the class.

This activity carried out in groups will allow the class to understand that there is no perfect city but that environments often correspond to different temperaments and that everyone has a different look at the spaces in which we live.

This activity can be completed in 1 or 2 sessions. You will need A4 and/or A3 size cardboard paper. Using the proposed model, each child can draw a pattern or draw directly on the proposed pattern model. The model is simple and we quickly identify the four facades of the building.

Print the materials for this activity...

Once the pattern has been cut out, children can give free rein to their imagination and draw the facades of their building, taking care to draw a face on one of the faces to personify it.

Finally, once the facades have been drawn and colored, the children can cut out their buildings, fold the tabs and start gluing.

Now, all the students have their own building and they can create their city together. The classroom tables can then become different islands that sit side by side and host the imagined cities.
