Learn how to perform a magic trick.
Here are two magic tricks, « to try yourself before using them with your class ». The “mystery number” trick « requires the ability to add numbers in your head, discreetly, up to a total of 100 ». It is therefore not necessarily suitable for all students. The “mystery card” trick is accessible to everyone. « It requires a deck of 52 cards per pair of students (or you can print the partial deck provided in the handout for each child). »
Depending on the choice of one or both tricks, « print the file(s), preferably on thick paper (such as Bristol board) ».

« You can present each trick separately to some of the students » (who will then have the task of preparing the trick and then presenting it to the other group). A presentation to students from another class is also entirely possible. « Depending on the students' abilities », « let them follow the instructions on the worksheet that explains the trick », or guide them step by step.
