Emilie and the magic pencil. Lila's particularity is to transpose her drawings into the real world. His drawings come to life and are added to the elements already present in the environment. This short film echoes the work “Émilie and the Magic Pencil” by Henriette Bichonnier published in 1979. Émilie is a little girl, passionate about the Middle Ages who, one day, discovers a magic pencil, which speaks, and gives life to what it draws...
First, students will watch the entire video and express themselves freely on the content. On the second viewing, we will ask them to concentrate on the particularity of the main character: what does she do? Students can see the magical, poetic side of the main character's work: what she draws comes true; his pencil is magical.
Present the book to them: “Émilie is a little girl passionate about history, particularly the Middle Ages. And she is very disappointed when Madame Remuffat, the teacher, interrupts the story of the adventures of Messire Robert de Franche Comté just as the bell rings to indicate the end of classes.
