This activity will allow you to work individually and collectively. Each student will draw then cut out an abstract shape to compose a fresco with the whole class.
After watching the short film, study with the students works by artists such as Vasily Kandinsky or Joan Miró by listing the different elements of the paintings. Work in search of a common theme (water, trees, geometric shapes, etc.) in order to define a certain number of postulates to create coherence in the work; for example a set of colors.
Before moving on to the drawing stage, each child will formulate their objective orally, taking into account the specifications defined by all the students. A group of students can take care of the background of the fresco, a job in its own right. The children who have prepared their individual drawing will cut it out and a joint reflection will begin to compose the work with the whole class.
This work can also be done jointly with several classes in the school. The fresco can be displayed in the classroom or in the school.
