Write an imaginary world (narrative story).

This short film where we are immersed in a world that does not exist will immediately raise questions among children... so why not exploit oddities in order to build an imaginary world...

• Step 1 Viewing the film which will be an inducer for the writing activity.
• Step 2 Orally extract the elements from the film which allow us to agree on the fact that it is part of the imagination (little man, lives in a cabin, ocean in the middle of the forest...
• Step 3 Individually choose a type of imaginary world: large or small astonishment, in space... in order to identify between 3 and 6 characteristics. Possible obstacles: Not being able to move away from the film and not being able to invent. We can then rely on inducers (photographic works by Erik Johansson, Alice in Wonderland, etc.).
• Step 4 Write a description of this place (10 lines maximum).
• Step 5 Correction and return to production.
• Step 6 Remediation in workshop with the teacher if necessary. Drawing of his world.
• Step 7 Presentation to the class.

Extensions

• Followed reading “Adrian, Gwylane and the Golden Tree” by Christine Le Gall: an adventure story that will enrich the students’ imagination. Adrian and Gwylane meet near the Golden Tree in the Brocéliande forest and are looking for Merlin. But will they find him? With their friends, they experience a great adventure and discover why we need to protect the forests.
