Design a small boat and race them using your breath to power them.
“Punctuwool” ends with a gentle, poetic moment during which the “cloud sheep” have fun blowing on boats.
The teacher will start from this final sequence of the film to set the students the following challenge: make small boats that can float on water and move forward when you blow on them with a straw.
Students will form project teams and begin thinking about this project. Several sessions will be devoted to this for students to design, test and validate their prototype. The teacher will support each group and encourage the progress of the experiments by setting aside time to pool ideas at the end of each session. On the Jeux et compagnie website, some ideas for making boats that float...
When each team has validated and built their small boat, a fun boat race will be organized. Each team will be given a “cloud sheep” straw and will compete in a boat race in a large container (children’s bathtub style). If we want to increase the difficulty of the race, we can create a small course with obstacles to steer around for example.
