Understand the differences between wild and domestic animals.
Ask the children the differences between domestic and wild animals, distinguish between domestication and training, etc. Using two questionnaires, test the students' knowledge in this area.
Firstly, address the relationship between man and dog over time: their shared history goes back at least 15,000 years. The dog descends from the wolf and learned to live alongside man over time; we suppose that it was by providing mutual services that they learned to live together.
The dog, unlike the crocodile which has practically not evolved for 200 million years, has evolved very quickly and certainly under pressure from man. This is how man managed to train him to provide him with multiple services.
First quiz: list the different tasks that the man asked the dog. Answer: shepherd dog, companion dog, hunting dog, guide dog for the blind, rescue dog, sled dog, truffle dog...
Tell an anecdote or story experienced with an animal. Work on the difference between domestic, wild and trained animals.
Quiz on wild and domestic animals: classify a list of animals into these three categories. Can we domesticate all animals? (case of the fox, for example, which man has not been able to domesticate, or of wild felines, hyenas, etc.)
