Compare two characters from the film

Watch the video and stop at 2 minutes. Ask the students to say what they understood, to express their impressions and share their emotions and above all to guess the end of the story. Share your thoughts before watching the end. Discuss again with the students after having seen the entire film. They will definitely be surprised!

Offer a second viewing by asking students to focus on the mouse. Then take stock with them: she is small and seems adorable at first glance, the fox thinks she wants to play with him but he is wrong. It is harmful to the little fox, it devours his soul and little by little he loses his colors. At the end, when the dog catches her to save the fox, we see her in her true light.

Suggest a third viewing to focus this time on the dog. He's scary, he's scary, he catches the fox at the beginning of the film and we think he wants to hurt him. We realize at the end that this is not the case, he wanted to get him out of the mouse's clutches.

Compare the characters orally on their physical appearance and their intentions. Moral of the story: you should not trust appearances!

To do this writing work, we can provide a table to the students to help them. The elements taken from the video can be collected in the table and they can serve as a basis for writing a portrait of the two characters.
