Timothée Lemoine — Médieval

Dream questionnaire

1- The character who touched you the most?

I can't choose just one! When I was little, it was in the squirrel scene from the Disney movie Merlin the Sorcerer. It was impossible for me not to cry in front of the little female squirrel in front of her impossible love. At present I share my preference between two heroines of Japanese animated feature films, Shizuku from the film Si tu tende l'oreille from studio Ghibli, and Makoto from The Crossing of Time which has undoubtedly become my favorite film. In both cases the character and personality of the young girls going through adolescence achieve a magnificent accuracy and truth. And also a thought for Kaworu, a character from the Evangelion series, who embodies many things for me.

2- The character that scared you the most?

What frightens is often what fascinates the most. The creature from the first film in the Alien saga, like the film in all its aspects, is the perfection of anguish and horror. And therefore provokes just as much fascination and wonder in me. Otherwise I still can't look at Mamie Nova's face (it's true).

3- The character you would most like to meet?

Kaworu from Evangelion, Chiaki from La Traversée du Temps, Sohta from Heartbroken Chocolatier. Looking for Prince Charming?

4- The character you would like to reincarnate as (^_^)?

The first character I wanted to be was Lamu, then Tam from Cat's Eye (ah the 80s cartoons!) Finally pretty girls, but also pests! I think it's the character flaws that make the characters the most endearing. Now I don't have a particular "model", but undoubtedly a female character.

5- The world you would like to live in?

Yes, Totoro Forest is definitely a very good answer. I also really like the worlds of Diana Wynne-Jones, like in Howl's Castle, where magic and British folklore mix in colors and absurdity.

6- The world you wouldn't want to live in?

A meaningless bureaucratic world, like in Brazil. Or quite simply in a military and macho world, no need to cite examples...

7- What role would you like to play in a work of fiction?

Lady Oscar, ha ha ha!

8- Your earliest memory of fiction?

The wallpaper in my room when I was 4-5 months old, my first memory. It represented clouds. And terrified me. And the stories of the songs my parents sang to me.

9- Your favorite word?

Deoxyribonucleoprotein. No, I'm kidding. Anti-conformist. A bit strong, but the fight for difference requires more than half-measures in the face of overwhelming “normality”.

10- Music you would like to listen to now?

The first movement of J-S Bach's First Keyboard Concerto in D minor BWV1052. Haha it might sound pretentious, but I really never get tired of listening to it. Also the theme from Kiki the Little Witch by Joe Hisaishi. Miyazaki is never far away.
