Films pour enfants

Film directors

What a wonderful opportunity! Many directors make their short films and animated films available to watch on the internet.

Sharing films for free, to the delight of children

A true gold mine for find a children's film, these short films are freely and legally accessible because the copyright holders, whether the directors themselves, the audiovisual production companies, the animation schools or the children's film festivals, agree to share the films.

Keeping up with directors

There are, unfortunately, few outlets that let directors show their short films, and film festivals remain the best way. Once the “festival circuit” is over, many wonderful films are forgotten and become almost impossible to find.

In order to share their passion, directors put their films online for free on platforms like Vimeo, Dailymotion or Youtube. However, these video sharing sites do not have search engines that meet the specific demands of users.

Many wonderful films are forgotten

In practice, it is difficult for parents or school teachers to find these short films. One method consists of focusing on a few directors in particular and keeping regular tabs on them. Keep up with a community, watch what is posted online, like or share. It takes a lot of time. It's a maze, and few parents have the time to search and choose.

In fact, it is mainly film professionals or animation-school students who take the time to search for and watch these films and there are very few websites for the general public, which is surprising given the astronomical quantity of films online.

The Internet is a maze of films

We started by looking for films to show our own children. We found many that we liked, but we had to surf from one site to another, saving the links. We couldn't find a portal to access all these films.

Films to watch at school and rewatch at home

Our site aims to increase the visibility of these films and cartoons to give children a wide range of choices. We believe that it is important for children's education that everyone can freely access films.

Being able to stream films for free, while respecting copyright, lets teachers choose a film easily, and also lets children rewatch them at home with parents or the whole family.

Children love to read and reread their favorite books. It would be a shame if they couldn't rewatch the films they loved.

Who are the directors?

In order to get to know the creators better of these wonderful films, but also to offer a glimpse behind the scenes of the creative process, we interview the directors.

Like the Proust questionnaire, a 10-question survey which allows us to reveal a little of the tastes and aspirations of directors.

The conscious and unconscious references of creators

Unlike Proust's questionnaire, no questions on the real world of the creators (e.g.: my favorite virtue, what I appreciate most in my friends...) but on their imaginary world (e.g.: the fictional character that I would like to meet, the fictional world in which I would not like to live).
