A very fun stop motion animated short film.
Understand the story and themes, express your feelings and develop critical thinking.
1In your opinion, how and with what was this film made? Have you ever seen any films that look like it?
It is a film made in “stop-motion”, frame by frame with modeling clay; it reminds us of the famous “Wallace and Gromit”, “Chicken Run” or even “Shaun the Sheep” from Aardman studios.
2At the beginning of the film, what is the man on the bench doing?
He eats and begins to feed a pigeon. He isn't very nice to it and tosses the food down rather meanly.
3Then his attitude changes as other pigeons arrive; do you understand why?
Because the growing number of pigeons frightens him, he starts to feel overwhelmed...
4What does the gentleman drop out of his pocket while gesticulating?
A coin.
5Ultimately, what are pigeons interested in?
Money.
6Do you recognize the musical instrument used in the film?
An accordion.
7Can you name other animals that might scare you in large numbers?
We can quite imagine the same phenomenon with ants; one little ant is very cute but hundreds can be scary. Insects, in general, can create this feeling but so can fish and birds.
Created with the support of the French Ministry of Education and the CNC.
Watching the film with the family, educational activities with parents at home and with teachers in class.
