The birth, life and death of a small planet.
A fast-paced short film about urbanization and the impact of human activities on planet Earth.
The film, produced in the form of a single fixed sequence shot, places the viewer in a unique position, that of an astronaut who, from the window of his space shuttle, sees time passing by and observes the changes in the earth.

1What planet do we see in the film?
Planet Earth.
2What are the Earth's changes and what do they represent?
In chronological order, the birth of the Earth (4.5 billion years), the appearance of the oceans (4.4 billion years), the appearance of forests (350 million years), the dinosaurs (230 million years), the Permian extinction (perhaps caused by a catastrophic event such as the eruption of a supervolcano or the impact of meteorites (252 million years), the last ice age (10 000 years), the first civilizations (3500 BC), a war in the future, the destruction of the Earth, its rebirth without humans.
3Do you recognize certain periods of history or prehistory?
The first civilizations, Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, the Middle Ages, the industrial revolution, the great metropolises of today.
4What period of time does the film represent: the past, the present, the future?
The three times.
5Does the film correctly represent the time scale in the evolution of the planet?
No, the geological history of the Earth is much longer than the history of humans. If the film represented the time scale correctly, the period between the birth of the Earth and the last ice age before the first civilizations would last almost the entire film and the period after the first civilizations would not last a second.
6Do you think a person can really look at Earth from space?
Yes it is possible. The first photograph of Earth seen from space was taken near the Moon in 1966 from the Lunar orbiter.
7Is the ending of the film optimistic or pessimistic?
Optimistic for the Earth because it is reborn but not for the humans who are disappearing.
8Why do you think the director decided to make this film?
Certainly to make humans aware that, if they don't pay attention to the Earth, they will end up disappearing.
